Supply order 2008

I only make orders from my main supplier once or twice a year, because shipping is VERY expensive (even the cheapest option) and the discounts are WAY better if you order in bulk.  So I make giant orders to save on shipping and get nearly 50% off what the cost would be if I was […]

Goodies!

I’ve decided to use this blog primarily for information and contact purposes rather than for promotion, and as such there will be no such thing as scheduled updates, any more. No ‘definitely once a week’ or anything of the kind. If I have something interesting to share, I’ll be around…and otherwise this blog […]

Mmm, freshly cut grass…

I’ll be brief, today.  I got my You Stink Soap order, which I promised to ‘review’.  It turned out great…I got 3 solid perfumes, 3 lip glosses, and 1 natural deodorant in the ‘Stinky Hippie’ scent.  Stinky Hippie smells like a freshly mown lawn…it’s just WONDERFUL, though quite unisex.
I’m happy with everything.  The lip gloss […]

If it’s a choice between smelling like strawberries or reducing the appearance of cellulite…

It’s impossible right now to update this blog regularly because I haven’t even at atom of creative energy at this time, so I have nothing to tell.  I do have an ‘industrial’ necklace idea, and I also want to finish that crocheted lace choker and earring set, and I also have an idea for a […]

Satisfaction for sale…

It is very unlike me to miss posting two days in a row, and if you noticed that, I’m sorry.  It’s  been a little…different, here, lately.  But I don’t think there are any religiously regular followers of TFG blog at this time so it is a probably a case of no harm, no foul. […]

I’m going to smell like a slightly floral fruit market.

Getting this place totally cleaned up again was great; I got 5 pairs of all-natural sticks (one with a bead drop dangle) done yesterday.  It just feels so much easier to do things when you don’t have to clear a spot to do them in, first, or if you don’t have to look for the […]

I wouldn’t even HAVE to win the lottery to do a lot of shopping from THESE favourites.

Buying from new Etsy sellers is great, but what I really love is finding a seller whose product is so excellent that I know I will be buying form them again and again.  And you can’t know who these people are until you receive their product, so the ones mentioned here are sellers whose products […]

Makes me want to get back to the old forge!

It’s lucky that I have financial restrictions.  Shopping on Etsy is just TOO good.  I’ve made a lot of (small) purchases already and have developed a favourites list of sellers I’ve already purchased from and know the quality of, which I will tell you all about in future posts.  Today’s post is on a new […]

First necklace

So I caved in.  I just HAD to buy some handmade paper right away, even though it means using an e-check.  (I really hate that about Paypal, that you can pay with credit card or instant transfer, but ONLY if your Paypal balance is zero.  That makes NO SENSE.  You should always have the option […]

The science of ‘hearting’

How do you do favourites on Etsy?
I’ve always ‘hearted’ the items I liked, primarily, then ‘hearted’ any seller who had enough items in their shop that I loved to warrant being added to the list. But I cruise other peoples’ favourites lists and I find it MUCH more common that they add tons of […]
