Stop with the cute!

Well, I did actually do a set of floaters and I even tried a black and white clippie…but they’re not turning out as I’d like.  I think I’m going to have to go with something a bit more unconventional.  It’s VERY hard to make a clippie look anything but ‘cute’, and floaters mostly fit in the ‘cute’ range as well, at least when you use buttons.  (Perhaps buttons really ARE cute?  They must say ‘cute as a button’ for a reason, right?)

I may just go back and make a few more hairsticks instead, with the overlapping wire wrap, such as in Trespass (below).  I really like that look…and I think they’ll do pretty well.  Though anything with Meri’s leaves DOES, of course.
