About the Keeper

The Far Grove is inhabited by dryads, pixies, fae-things and tiny tree-things and just one human: Krista Hubert, elected ‘owner’ and keeper of the grove, finder of treasures and maker of exotic lovelies that help people live just a little closer to the world of their imagination.

Krista lives half inside an evergreen forest in the northern Ottawa Valley in a large town called Pembroke, which is about 1.5 hours north of Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. She was born in late spring in 1978, went to school (briefly) to study photojournalism, then gave up on the real world and went deep undercover. She finds Etsy to be the ideal place to try to make a living, as she can call all the shots and take a rest any time her health issues demand that she do so.

The Far Grove is a place to find unusual adornments…things that fall from the sky and come up from the ocean and make life feel just a little bit more like a fairytale. (One of the good ones.) Or that is what she wants it to be, at least. New products become available as she perfects them…no product may bear the mark of the Grove if it isn’t 100% reliable.
