First necklace
So I caved in. I just HAD to buy some handmade paper right away, even though it means using an e-check. (I really hate that about Paypal, that you can pay with credit card or instant transfer, but ONLY if your Paypal balance is zero. That makes NO SENSE. You should always have the option to pay those ways! When you have money in your Paypal account and you make a purchase using Paypal, you either have to use the money or use an e-check, and e-checks take EIGHT DAYS to clear from a Canadian bank account to a US one. ARGH.)
However, I think it’s worth the aggravation. Look, here’s one of three paper packs I bought:
Click the picture if you want to go to the Etsy shop where I purchased it. :) The seller is very nice.
Alright, back to business. You want to see the necklace, right? Okay…here’s a close-up, then the whole thing.

It’s actually prettier in person. The colour here is fairly accurate…not quite warm enough but close…but somehow it just isn’t as vibrant as it is in person. I definitely want to keep it and probably won’t make another as it took a long time to do, but I AM going to list it. I might even list it today to keep me from temptation. Cause if I WEAR it, I’ll have to keep it, right? :) Necklaces are what I started out making, but if/when I list this one, it’ll be the first ever in my Etsy shop.

That is a really pretty necklace. And it looks like something you’d wear, no question. ![]()

That’s gorgeous… and totally funky!!! Stuff like is on my list of stuff that I don’t tend to pull off very well. But still cool!!
*oooooooh, you could make really big ones and hang them from ceiling fans and stuff… If you knew about electrical stuff, you could one day make a really cool chandelier… I totally believe that you could do it!*

Shveta: Thanks. It definitely IS something I’d wear
Elle: Since Meri is the one who makes the leaves themselves, I don’t really have access to really big leaves…just jewellery-sized ones.
But thanks
Funky, is it? You and I always see things so differently. To me the necklace looks pretty and elegant, so ‘funky’ is far down on the list of how I’d describe it, as to me funky and elegant to not really go together very well. ![]()

The necklace is very pretty and natural (straight out of the magical far grove..:))
and I ‘heart’ the handmade paper..but I have 3-4 cute handmade paper books that I recently bought in India and so have no excuse for buying more (I have realised I am a compulsive ‘handmade paper book’ buyer..:))
