Sea Treasure
Found a little box of cloisonne bells yesterday and realized that I also have a box of six beautiful cloisonne hummingbirds…big ones…that really want using in some spectacular hairstick or other. Using the bells was more difficult than I anticipated…next time I think I will just hang the bell with one bead as a very short dangle…they don’t look quite ‘right’ at the end of a longer dangle, to me. But anything I don’t like, some other people will, so I will show it here anyway.

I really don’t know what I think of it. It’s kind of cute.
I’ve also made another pair of Curly-Q earrings…these ones gold chain with emerald wire and two tone fire-polished glass beads in two sizes. I really like them…I like the extra colour…but I’d like them even better if it was possible to get chain and jump rings in the same colour as the wire. But it isn’t. Niobium is very expensive…no cheaper than silver…and I’ve yet to see it made into many different colours of chain. I think this pair looks like a mermaid dropped some of her treasure as she was passing a bed of seaweed.
Now I must go and wind three more batches of wire if I want to be able to make more of these tomorrow. I have plans for silver ones, pink, burgundy and two shades of blue. And I may have to try black and gold or black and silver eventually, though anyone who knows me knows that black doesn’t thrill me.

Those earrings are so awesome!! If I had a shirt to go with them I’d buy them in an instant! *or even buy them for my daughter just to see them worn*

Thanks.
I think they would be too big for your daughter…they travel just about the full length of my neck. Because they’re dainty they don’t appear too heavy on an adult, but the length would look wrong on a child, I think.
I have five more colours to come so far. ![]()
